1853 yılında Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain tarafından yaratılan Eau de Cologne Impériale, Guerlain'in ilk Eau de Cologne'uydu. Napolyon III'ün eşi İmparatoriçe Eugénie için özel olarak bestelenen bu parfüm, yaratıcısına "Majestelerinin Parfümeri" unvanını kazandırdı. İmparatoriçe, satılması için izin vermeden önce bu kokuyu özel olarak kullanmanın keyfini çıkardı.

Etiketinde, Napolyon'un seçtiği arması ile İmparatorluğun sembolünü taşıyor: kartal, imparatorluk tacı ve asa.

Şişesinde İmparatorluğun sembolü ve Guerlain ailesinin "Eaux" amblemi olan 69 arıdan oluşan bir takımyıldızı bulunuyor. İsteğe göre özelleştirilebilir, elle yaldızlanabilir ve baş harflerle süslenebilir.

Created in 1853 by Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain, Eau de Cologne Impériale was the very first Eau de Cologne by Guerlain. Specially composed for the Empress Eugénie, wife of Napoleon III, it earned its creator the title of "Perfumer to His Majesty". The Empress enjoyed the exclusive use of this fragrance before giving her authorisation for it to be sold.

On its label, it bears the symbol of the Empire with the coat of arms chosen by Napoleon: the eagle, the imperial crown and the sceptre.

Its bottle bears a constellation of 69 bees, the symbol of the Empire and the emblem of the Guerlain family of "Eaux". It can be customised upon request, hand-gilded and emblazoned with initials.
